“Un lugar seguro, el hogar”
“La pascua Cristiana del 2020 pasará a la historia acompañada de la más grande amenaza a la humanidad: una pandemia. Son ya muchos años, o quizá siglos, en los cuales no enfrentábamos a un enemigo tan poderoso, portador de tantos miedos e incertidumbre. Podríamos decir, en verdad, que está entre nosotros la muerte. Este enemigo ha llevado a todas las generaciones a buscar caminos tratando de huir, justo porque todo lo destruye, especialmente lo que nos es más querido: la vida y los seres que amamos. Es lo que llamamos en el lenguaje filosófico “situaciones límite”. (K. Jaspers), porque nos desbordan y nos arrinconan ante el abismo.
¡Qué paradoja la que enfrenta la humanidad y particularmente el cristianismo y las religiones! Al tiempo que celebramos la vida y la resurrección, nos saturan de amenazas y de miedos. Anunciamos la esperanza y la victoria de Jesús en un ambiente de fracaso y de debilidad. Nos confinan y nos saturan con imágenes de contaminación, cuando más espacios de libertad hemos alcanzado. Nadie escapa al invisible enemigo. Pareciera que la gran solución nos viene de la autoridad civil tan cuestionada y la ciencia que se revela muchas veces contra la felicidad humana.
Hay, sin embargo, una nueva paradoja y una evidencia que nos alivian desde el interior y adquieren todo su valor ante este escenario de miedos: la familia y el hogar tan amenazados, surgen como un único lugar seguro. No en vano, es el ambiente natural de la vida, el amor, y las relaciones básicas del ser humano. ¡Quién lo pensaría en esta cultura tan hedonista! Es la célula básica de la sociedad y la Iglesia doméstica que se edifica en el poder de Cristo resucitado, vencedor de la muerte y del pecado y que confirman toda su dignidad. “Ánimo, no tengan miedo”, dice Jesús en medio de la tormenta. El Cristo vivo de la Pascua, “camino, verdad y vida” es nuestro poder y una luz de esperanza en este tiempo apto para buscar a Dios, que se revela en la intimidad de la vida y la familia. “Para Dios nada hay imposible, qué grande es la familia”.

“The Christian Easter of 2020 will go down in history accompanied by the greatest threat to humanity: a pandemic. What a paradox humanity is facing, particularly Christianity and religions! As we celebrate life and resurrection, we are saturated with threats and fears. We announce hope and the victory of Jesus in an atmosphere of failure and weakness. We are confined and saturated with pictures of contamination, when we have gained more spaces of freedom. No one escapes the invisible enemy. It would seem that the great solution comes to us from the civil authority that is so questioned, and by science which reveals itself so many times against human happiness.
However, today there is a new paradox and evidence that relieves us from within and acquires all its value in this scenario of fears: Our family and our home, which are so threatened: they arise as the only safe place. Not surprisingly, it is the natural environment of life, love, and basic human relationships. Who would have thought of this t in such a hedonistic culture! It is the basic cell of society and the domestic Church that is built in the power of the risen Christ, conqueror of death and sin, and which confirm all his dignity. “Cheer up, do not be afraid”, says Jesus in the middle of the storm. The living Christ of Easter, “path, truth and life” is our power and a light of hope in this perfect time to seek God, who reveals himself in the intimacy of life and family. “For God, nothing is impossible”, How great is the family!”
