Este bimestre, en la clase de Religión, los estudiantes de Grado Primero participaron en un taller coordinado con el Centro de Recursos de Aprendizaje y, con la ayuda de Olga Margarita, se sumergieron maravillosamente en la historia “El Otoño de Freddy la Hoja”, de Leo Buscaglia, asociándolo con la habilidad tratada en la clase: “Relaciono la vida y la muerte con la esperanza”. Los estudiantes también entendieron que la muerte hace parte del ciclo de la vida y que, para muchas personas, la vida no termina con la muerte, sino que se transforma y siempre es necesario hacer el proceso de duelo frente a la partida definitiva de un ser querido.

Hope in Life
This term, in Religion class, Second Grade students participated in a workshop coordinated with the Learning Resources Center and, with the help of Olga Margarita, they wonderfully immersed themselves in the story "The Autumn of Freddy the Leaf", by Leo Buscaglia, associating it with the skill covered in class: "I relate life and death with hope". The students also understood that death is part of the cycle of life and that, for many people, life does not end with death, but is transformed, and it is always necessary to go through the mourning process when faced with the final departure of a loved one.
