11th and 12th grade students participated in Green Apple Day of Service as tutors for their peers. Their goal was to encourage students to explore and make observations about different forms of renewable energy, movement, sound, and energy. The final product was a visual aid comparing the different types of renewable energy: solar, hydro, and wind, and a rubber band guitar made from recycled materials. Students had fun, learned, and share their findings.
Los estudiantes de los grados décimo y undécimo participaron en el Green Apple Day of Service, nuestro día para servir al ambiente. Su objetivo era animar a los demás estudiantes a explorar y hacer observaciones sobre diferentes formas de energía renovable y enseñar a los niños de preescolar sobre el movimiento, el sonido y la energía. El producto final fue una ayuda visual que comparaba los diferentes tipos de energía renovable: solar, hidráulica y eólica. Los estudiantes se divirtieron, aprendieron y compartieron sus hallazgos.
