Our Rochester Sports Club High Performance swimming team, led by its coach Norberto León, participated in the “Ciudad de Girardot” Cup, from October 22 through 24, 2021.
Twenty one (21) swimmers from the infant, youth and senior categories participated. The team was ranked fifth out of 32 clubs that participated.
Our swimmers stood out winning a total of 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 5 bronze medals, for a total of 22 medals. The participation of our swimmers was outstanding due to the merit of obtaining a 5th place, with a smaller number of swimmers, compared to the other clubs that outnumbered us.
The swimmers who represented the School Club were: Alejandro Useche, Camilo Cantor, Daniel Mateo Azuero, Emilio Borda, Emilio Martínez, Javier Tobo, Juan Diego Mantilla, Juan Esteban Daza, Julián Cantor, Luis Daniel Casas, María Parra, Mariana Rey, Martina Jiménez, Nicolás Álvarez, Nicolás Domínguez, Pablo Serpa, Sebastián Rueda, Simón Meza, Simón Rojas and Tomás Ramón.
Additionally, on 8th October, the team represented Rochester School at the “Supérate Intercolegiados” games, municipal phase, which took place at Club Bellavista, Chía.
The swimmers of Club Deportivo Rochester qualified to the next departmental phase, demonstrating that our training program prepares our athletes in an integral way, who will surely obtain a quota to the national intercollegiate. Resumen: El equipo de natación de Alto Desempeño del Club Deportivo Rochester participó en la Copa “Ciudad de Girardot”, que se realizó del 22 al 24 de octubre de 2021, bajo la dirección del entrenador Norberto León.
Participaron 21 nadadores de las categorías infantil, juvenil y mayores. El equipo obtuvo el quinto puesto entre 32 clubes.
Nuestros nadadores se destacaron logrando un total de 9 medallas de oro, 8 de plata y 5 de bronce, para un total de 22 medallas. La participación de nuestros nadadores fue sobresaliente por el mérito que representa el obtener un 5to puesto, con una cantidad menor de nadadores, frente a los otros clubes que nos superaban en número.

Adicionalmente, el 8 de octubre, el equipo representó al Colegio en los Juegos “Supérate Intercolegiados”, fase municipal, que se llevaron a cabo en el Club Bellavista, en Chía.
Los nadadores del Club Deportivo Rochester clasificaron a la siguiente fase departamental, demostrando que nuestro programa de entrenamiento prepara de forma integral a nuestros deportistas, quienes de seguro obtendrán unos cupos al nacional intercolegiado. ¡Felicitamos a Camilo Cantor, Emilio Martínez, Emilio Vargas, Javier Tobo, Juan Diego Mantilla, Juan Esteban Daza, Martina Jiménez, Nicolás Domínguez, Sebastián Rueda, Simón Meza y Tomás Ramón!
