In the Visual Arts class, Third A made a collection of illustrations of Colombian fauna species that are in danger of extinction. First we made the selection of species such as the Spectacled Bear, the Jaguar, the Yellow-eared Parrot, the Blue Macaw, the Hawksbill turtle, the Tití monkey, we investigated different photographs and the problems of their environment such as the jungles, páramos and wax palm forests that have been devastated by mining and deforestation.
Then we make drawings on a straw cardboard , giving it a first layer of color with inks and improving the composition, highlighting not only the figure of the species but also elements of its environment such as vegetation, rivers, lakes, etc. The next step was to see examples and understand the yarn technique from knowing the Wixarrita culture settled in the current territory of Mexico but with ancient roots in the pre-Hispanic world. The yarn simply consists of coloring by sticking wool to the surface.
The result, apart from improving concentration, order and fine motor skills that this technique implies, is of great beauty and meaning, since these species that are sadly on the verge of extinction are made visible. What is not known cannot be taken care of and that is where we focus our educational attention for the environment.
En la clase de Artes Visuales, el Grado Segundo A realizó una colección de ilustraciones de especies de fauna colombiana que están en vía de extinción. Primero realizamos la selección de especies como lo fueron , el Oso de anteojos, el Jaguar, el Loro oreja amarillo , la Guacamaya azul , la tortuga Carey , el mono Tití investigamos diferentes fotografías y las problemáticas de su medio ambiente como lo son las selvas, los páramos y los bosques de palma de cera que han sido devastados por la minería y la deforestación.
Después realizamos dibujos en un cuarto de cartón paja , dándole una primera capa de color con tintas y mejorando la composición resaltando no sólo la figura de la especie sino elementos de su medio ambiente como la vegetacion, ríos lagunas etc. El siguiente paso fue ver ejemplos y entender la técnica del estambre a partir de conocer la cultura Wixarrita asentada en el territorio actual de México pero con unas antiguas raíces en el mundo prehispánico.
El estambre consiste sencillamente en colorear pegando lanas a la superficie. El resultado a parte de mejorar en la concentración , el orden y la motricidad fina que implica esta técnica es de gran belleza y significado pues se visibilizan estás especies que tristemente están al borde de la extinción. Lo que no se conoce no se puede cuidar y es ahí dónde centramos nuestra atención educativa por el medio ambiente.
