Ever since mankind started to flourish, people have been wondering about what there might be out there. Ancient civilizations painted stars and images on rocks in order to show others what they spotted up there in the sky. Many questions came up back then, and one of them persists now. Might there be life out there?
For the last 2 weeks, 5th graders have been working on expressing what possibilities there are out there in space, using phrases with may and might, not only if there would be life but also, how species might be, what different things they might find.
They have listened to songs related to space elements and read articles about what is necessary for life in other places than Earth. Soon they will come up with ideas of what an outer space atmosphere would look like.

Desde que la humanidad comenzó a florecer, la gente se ha estado preguntando acerca de lo que podría haber allá afuera. Las civilizaciones antiguas pintaban estrellas e imágenes en las rocas para mostrar a los demás lo que veían allá arriba en el cielo. Muchas preguntas surgieron entonces, y una de ellas persiste ahora. ¿Podría haber vida ahí fuera?
Durante las dos últimas semanas, los alumnos de 4º han estado trabajando para expresar las posibilidades que hay ahí fuera en el espacio, utilizando frases con puede y podría, no sólo si habría vida sino también, cómo podrían ser las especies, qué cosas diferentes podrían encontrar.
Han escuchado canciones relacionadas con elementos del espacio y han leído artículos sobre lo que se necesita para que haya vida en otros lugares distintos de la Tierra. Pronto se les ocurrirán ideas sobre cómo sería una atmósfera del espacio exterior.
