El Colegio Rochester en la FILBO 2025: Un Logro Destacado y una Experiencia Única para la Comunidad

Nos complace anunciar que, próximamente, por segunda vez, el Colegio Rochester será parte de la Feria Internacional del Libro de Bogotá (FILBO), que se celebrará del 25 de abril al 11 de mayo de 2025, con España como país invitado especial. Esta es una ocasión única que refuerza nuestro compromiso con la cultura y el fomento de la lectura en nuestra comunidad.

Este año, como parte de nuestra participación, tendremos el honor de recibir en nuestro campus al reconocido autor e ilustrador mexicano Juan Gedovius, quien ha dedicado su carrera a la creación de libros álbum llamativos y divertidos para niños y jóvenes. Su trabajo, de alta calidad y con una estética única, ha sido aclamado tanto en México como internacionalmente. A lo largo de su carrera autodidacta, Gedovius ha trabajado en una amplia variedad de medios, incluyendo libros de texto, revistas, carteles y murales, lo que lo convierte en una figura destacada en el mundo de la ilustración.

La FILBO 2025 se distingue no solo por ser un evento literario de gran prestigio, sino también por ofrecer a los estudiantes la oportunidad de interactuar con autores y expertos en el mundo literario.

El pasado 13 de marzo se lanzó la FILBO 2025, Feria Internacional del Libro de Bogotá, con el Encuentro de Líderes en la Embajada de España. Como parte de nuestra participación, Adriana Ángel Forero, Directora de la FILBO, Santiago Jímenez, Embajador de España, y Antonio Monegal, curador español de la FILBO, nos contaron un poco sobre los talleres, foros, y conversatorios alrededor del mágico mundo de la literatura. En estos videos veremos un poco sobre lo que tenían para decir.

Este logro es un claro reflejo del esfuerzo constante del Colegio Rochester por brindar a nuestros estudiantes experiencias educativas enriquecedoras y promover el desarrollo de sus habilidades culturales y literarias, bajo el programa La Alegría de Leer.

Rochester School at FILBO 2025: An Outstanding Achievement and a Unique Experience for the Community

We are pleased to announce that, soon, for the second time, Rochester School will be part of the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBO), which will be held from April 25 to May 11, 2025, with Spain as the special guest country. This is a unique occasion that reinforces our commitment to culture and the promotion of reading in our community.

This year, as part of our participation, we will have the honor of welcoming to our campus the renowned Mexican author and illustrator Juan Gedovius, who has dedicated his career to the creation of striking and fun album books for children and young people. His work, of high quality and with a unique aesthetic, has been acclaimed both in Mexico and internationally. Throughout his self-taught career, Gedovius has worked in a wide variety of media, including textbooks, magazines, posters and murals, making him a leading figure in the world of illustration.

FILBO 2025 stands out not only for being a prestigious literary event, but also for offering students the opportunity to interact with authors and experts in the literary world.

On March 13, FILBO 2025, International Book Fair of Bogota, was launched with the Leaders Meeting at the Embassy of Spain. As part of our participation, Adriana Angel Forero, Director of FILBO, Santiago Jiménez, Ambassador of Spain, and Antonio Monegal, Spanish curator of FILBO, told us a little about the workshops, forums, and discussions around the magical world of literature. In these videos we will see a bit of what they had to say.

This achievement is a clear reflection of the constant effort of Rochester School to provide our students with enriching educational experiences and promote the development of their cultural and literary skills, under the program La Alegría de Leer (The Joy of Reading).
