El pasado 12 de agosto, el Colegio Rochester abrió sus puertas para recibir a los nuevos estudiantes y sus familias en lo que fue una jornada verdaderamente especial. Acompañados por sus padres, los niños tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a sus futuros profesores, descubrir sus salones de clase, y familiarizarse con las actividades diarias que formarán parte de su rutina en este nuevo año escolar 2024-2025.
El recorrido por el campus les permitió explorar los espacios que estarán a su disposición, desde las aulas hasta las áreas recreativas, dando un primer vistazo al lugar que los acogerá en su camino educativo. Este primer encuentro no solo sirvió para aliviar nervios y despertar la curiosidad, sino también para comenzar a construir el sentido de pertenencia que caracteriza a nuestra Comunidad Rochesteriana.
Uno de los momentos más emotivos del día fue la siembra de un árbol por parte de los niños de Prejardín, acompañados por sus padres. Este acto simbólico representa el inicio de una nueva etapa en sus vidas, y el árbol, que los acompañará durante toda su estancia en el colegio, es un recordatorio constante de la importancia del cuidado del planeta, un valor que cultivamos desde los primeros años de escolaridad.
Con gran alegría y entusiasmo, damos la bienvenida a estas nuevas familias a la gran comunidad del Colegio Rochester.
Estamos seguros de que este será el comienzo de una experiencia educativa llena de aprendizaje, crecimiento y momentos inolvidables.

On August 12, Rochester School opened its doors to welcome new students and their families for what was a truly special day. Accompanied by their parents, the children had the opportunity to meet their future teachers, discover their classrooms, and familiarize themselves with the daily activities that will be part of their routine in this new 2024-2025 school year.
The campus tour allowed them to explore the spaces that will be at their disposal, from classrooms to recreational areas, giving them a first glimpse of the place that will welcome them on their educational journey. This first meeting not only served to relieve nerves and awaken curiosity, but also to begin to build the sense of belonging that characterizes our Rochesterian Community.
One of the most emotional moments of the day was the planting of a tree by the Pre-Kindergarten children, accompanied by their parents. This symbolic act represents the beginning of a new stage in their lives, and the tree, which will accompany them throughout their stay at school, is a constant reminder of the importance of caring for the planet, a value that we cultivate from the first years of school.
It is with great joy and enthusiasm that we welcome these new families to the great Rochester School community.
We are sure that this will be the beginning of an educational experience full of learning, growth and unforgettable moments.
