What do our students learn?
Develop computer programs in Java code using algorithmic and scientific approaches to design.
Refine skills in diverse sports, including aquatic ones.
Extend skills of service and their relationship with the New Testament of the Bible.
Refine and extend skills in the chosen artistic education subject among arts, dance, music and theatre.
They write narrative, descriptive, expository and persuasive essays in English and Spanish.
Keep conversations with protocols for empathic listening and professional discussions in English and Spanish.
Achieve a B2 level in the TOEFL Junior test about listening and reading comprehension, language form and meaning.
Optionally participate in study-abroad programs and international events.
Participate in a mini-UN model led by High School students.
Develop integrated projects once a year and a graduation project in Eighth grade.
Solve real-life problems using basic algebra, geometry and systems thinking.
Solve real-life issues using basic physical science, chemistry and Earth and Space science.
Model social solutions based on Ancient and Middle Age History, as well as Colombian and the world geography.
Develop counselor skills using Choice Theory psychology for wellness.
What do we want to achieve at this level?
The middle school curriculum is aimed to awakening the interest of our students in different áreas. They learn about the áreas in which they are interested by developing integrated projects focused on environmental and social sustainability.They write narrative, descriptive, expository and persuasive essays. hold debates on current issues and test these tools in their first Model United Nations. From the beginning of this level, we focused in the use of the right tools and language structures both in English and Spanish, strengthening language development to obtain a solid knowledge of language skills. This is achieved in an integral way through writing, comprenhension, reading and oral activities to improve student expression. Students discover their talents,unique habilities and values through a curriculum that takes into accounts their needs, changing interests and levels of motivation.
